# Manufacturing of Polyurethane Wheels

## Advantages of Polyurethane Wheels

Polyurethane products have been used on an industrial scale since the 1960s. However, in Ukraine, there is still a preference for rubber products, although they are inferior to elastomer wheels in many aspects.

Unlike rubber, polyurethane withstands temperature changes well, avoiding deformation, cracks, etc., at low temperatures (down to -20°C) and high temperatures (up to +80°C).

PU wheels move silently and do not leave marks on surfaces. They perform equally well on sand, gravel, linoleum, and parquet. They are resistant to punctures and cuts and do not require inflation.

They are easy to repair: simply apply a new layer of material to the damaged area. This method, called lining, does not require significant time or financial investment.

Advantages include:

- Ability to operate in aggressive environments (saltwater, technical oils, gasoline);
- Resistance to corrosion, mold, and fungi;
- Capable of withstanding pressure up to 7,000 kg;
- Quickly regain their original shape after compression;
- Prevent tilting during cargo transportation.

The only drawback is the higher price compared to rubber wheels, but the investment quickly pays off.

### Hardness, Color, and Diameter

You can purchase ready-made products of the required size from us. We manufacture custom products according to provided drawings or technical specifications.

Production of polyurethane wheels begins with selecting raw materials of suitable hardness on the Shore scale. This is an important parameter. If you need to transport weights up to 350 kg, choose PU with a Shore A rating of 78-96. This is a hard elastomer with good elasticity.

The next parameter is diameter. The larger it is, the better the maneuverability.

Polyurethane has a characteristic yellowish tint, but with dyes, any color can be achieved: red, blue, yellow, green. Some clients prefer solutions that match their brand's color scheme, which positively impacts product promotion.

Polyurethane wheels are known for their high shock absorption and anti-vibration properties.

We produce products capable of withstanding medium loads (up to 600 kg), large loads (up to 1,100 kg), and extremely high pressure up to 7,000 kg.
